On Sunday, former Trump supporter and White House Communications Director, Anthony Scaramucci bashed Trump over his failure to handle the economic, political, and health crisis, citing the Republican party’s need to “re-engineer” their strategy.

Scaramucci appeared on Fox News, “The Next Revolution,” where he took the opportunity to unabashedly criticize his former boss. In his media appearance, Scaramucci listed down the administration’s failures. “Number one, the economy is upside down,” Scaramucci said to the show’s host, Steve Hilton. He added, “You had 13% unemployment for the African American community.” He went on, “Number two, he’s [Trump] politicized the science around the pandemic.” Finally, the former right-wing supporter claimed that there is a need to “re-engineer’ the Republican party as it is apparently “shrinking.”

However, Hilton was having none of it. He went on to press Scaramucci over his support on Biden’s platforms, especially on his goal to remove Trump’s deregulation agenda. Hilton cited that back in 2016, the former White House director claimed that regulation is “crushing economic growth” Hilton continued that fast forward to 2020, not only did he want regulation, but that he wanted taxes to be higher than it was before. Hilton then asked, “Why?”

Scaramucci was unable to respond and denied ever supporting such political agendas. Instead, he tried to dodge the issue by changing the subject. The former White House director focused on branding the President as “racist.” He went on to blast Trump for the way “he treats people” and how he would bully “suburban housewives” in his social media account. He also went on to call Trump as a “divider” and how he had planted hatred in the country’s Democracy.

Hilton fought back, telling Scaramucci that he goes around lamenting against racism when he himself is supporting a candidate who keeps on issuing racist things. As an example, Hilton cited that Biden considered “ all blacks are the same.”

Scaramucci responded by sarcastically implying that Trump had never made any gaffes, or even stated “anything stupid.” As the conversation went on, the former White House director continued to blast Trump. Finally, Hilton had enough and told Scaramucci that his points were “all over the place.” Hilton also claimed that instead of talking about policies, the former Trump admin member claimed that he only wanted to talk about politics.

Previously, Scaramucci had worked as President Donald Trump’s White House Communications Director. Unfortunately, Scaramucci did not hold on to his position for long, as he was fired in a matter of ten days. After his dismissal, Scaramucci turned his back to the Republican Party, and instead endorsed the President’s rival, Democratic nominee, Joe Biden. Recently, Scaramucci partnered with former Bush and Trump officials to launch a super PAC aiming to persuade disaffected Republican voters to vote for Biden.

Trump also responded to the tense conversation. In a social media post, the President undermined Scaramucci over his brief stay at the White House, adding that he was simply a “loser.”
