On Tuesday, Vice President Mike Pence declared that “polling America is broken” as he asked the “silent majority” to speak up and share their support for President Donald Trump in the upcoming 2020 general elections.

In a podcast for SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily, the show’s host, Alex Marlow, asked Pence to address those skeptical about whether a “silent majority” truly exists.

Pence responded that in his official travels as a Vice President, the “silent majority doesn’t look very silent to me.” he then went on to recount his recent trip to Pennsylvania for a “Cops for Trump” rally. Pence claimed that during the event, there were hundreds of people that had eagerly parked and gathered in a small town of Pennsylvania. He also shared how he saw people waving signs and giving him a thumbs-up, citing a clear proof that the “enthusiasm was there.”

During his last stop for the three-city bus tour, the Vice President was gifted with a “Back the Blue” t-shirt in support of law enforcement officers against the increasing anti-police sentiments. In his speech, Pence vowed that the present administration would never cave into mounting pressure to defund the police.

In his interview, Pence also gave out a stern warning on the unreliability of polling as he recounted the positive forecast on then-Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton during the 2016 Presidential elections. Pence explained that the survey results which came from different organizations might be deemed inaccurate. He claimed that an estimated 60 to 70 public polls, which were published between Labor Day and Election Day, predicted that Clinton would win. “The reality is, polling is broken in America,” Pence said. He also encouraged the “silent majority to speak up, “To everybody listening on Breitbart radio, and all the great supporters out there, just let your voice be heard.”

As increasing social media platforms and mainstream media establishments are implementing major censorship on the conservatives, Pence encouraged GOP supporters to destroy such media narrative by sharing the President’s success. The Vice President finally concluded that he is confident that they are going to have a “great victory” on November 3.

As proof of the country’s silent majority, a recent survey from the Democracy Institute commissioned by the newspaper publication, the Sunday Express revealed that Trump has a two-point advantage (48 percent) in nationwide polls against the Democratic nominee, Joe Biden (46 percent).

The polls revealed that Trump is leading in key battleground states such as Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The recent polls also revealed that the President is forecasted to win a total of 309 electoral votes, which was even bigger than the numbers he had won in the 2016 elections.

According to Democracy Institute Director Patrick Basham, the polls focused on what he considers as the “‘shy majority.” In fact, Basham claimed that these shy voters increased from 66 percent last month to a current 71 percent. He believed that while Trump and Biden are locked in a competitive race, the Democratic nominee’s support is not growing.
