Elizabeth Warren is the favorite among Democrats to become Joe Biden’s vice president for the upcoming presidential elections. Based on a survey, more than 30% of Democrat voters said that they would prefer to have Warren as Sleepy Joe’s running mate over the other possible candidates. Sen. Kamala Harris of California comes in at a far second with just 18%. Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Stacey Abrams both got 10%. Joe Biden has vowed that he would be picking a woman for a vice president and so there has been a lot of speculation going around as to who will be his choice.

Warren was one of the leading candidates to grab the Democratic nomination when the campaign started. However, several factors came together to bring her down. There was the question of her alleged Native American ancestry, which was proven to be a false story. For that, President Trump has called her “Pocahontas.”

Warren’s endorsement of Biden was a major contributing factor towards the defeat of Sanders. Her support also proved her lack of principles since she copied most of her platform from Sanders. If she really wanted to push through with the reforms she was claiming, then she should have endorsed Sanders instead.

Harris is largely seen as problematic for Biden. Her breakout performance during the debates was when she attacked Biden. On the other hand, Stacey Abrams is openly campaigning to get the nod to become Biden’s VP, but she has not won a state-level election.

The choice of Biden’s president is very crucial not just for the Democratic party but for the whole country. Biden is definitely declining in mental capacity and cognitive functions. Each interview that he does is becoming worse than the last one as he forgets things and becomes speechless. If he gets elected into the highest office, whoever becomes his vice president should be ready at a moment’s notice to be sworn in.

Other names that have floated as possible vice president include Michigan governor, Hillary Clinton, and Michelle Obama.
