If there is one thing that far-left Democrat, Rep Alexandria Ocasio Cortez proved in the past few weeks, she is anything but pro-employment.

On Thursday, AOC claimed that the Republican governors who plan to immediately reopen their states without having any concrete plan, only meant that they are “sending vulnerable workers to die.” To make matters worse, the Democrat also claimed that President Donald Trump is lobbying an “unproven, dangerous” medicine as a cure for the deadly pandemic.

Finally, AOC slammed the administration by declaring that “The last thing you care abt is safety.”

This is not the first time that the lawmaker urged workers to defy state orders. On Wednesday, The Patriot Hill reported that AOC encouraged Americans to support the National Work Boycott.

Her campaign against employment included a media appearance for VICE’s Seat at the Table with Anand Giridharadas in which she explained that when the economy reopens, workers should refuse to go back to work. Her statements proved that AOC was oblivious to the massive economic implications brought by the coronavirus pandemic, as well as its direct impact on Americans. She went on to say, “We talk about this idea of “reopening society.” Only in America does [President Trump]—when the president tweets about liberation, does he mean “go back to work.”

She also lamented how workers are forced to go back to a 70 hours work week just to provide food for their families. Then, on Thursday, AOC reinstated her Vice interview by saying how unfair it had been for workers to barely survive, despite spending 70 hours at work every week. She even added that the fact that they do “not have health insurance is unsafe too.”

The lawmaker even had the audacity to rejoice as the oil industry plummeted due to the low demand brought by the economic shutdown. In her now-deleted tweet, AOC shared a social media post which indicated the effects of the sudden market drop, citing that “you would absolutely love to see it.”

Her tone-deaf comments did not sit well with a lot of Americans, specifically since it also signals that 50,000 to 70,000 Americans might possibly lose their jobs. In her tweet, AOC even pushed the Dems propaganda for the green one deal, saying that “This along with record low-interest rates mean it’s the right time for a worker-led, mass investment in green infrastructure to save our planet. *cough*”.

While AOC encouraged people to defy state orders and to refuse to go back to work, employment and job security remain an important concern for most Americans. In fact, in a recently released Gallup survey, a quarter of adults feared that they might lose their jobs in the next 12 months or so.

Just this week, 4.4 million Americans filed for first-time unemployment claims. The numbers had become so dire that continuing claims rose to 15.98 million, unemployment rose to 26.4 million during week one of the shutdown. The sudden surge of unemployment claims was enough to wipe out all the recovery that the Trump administration had made after the 2008 recession.

Even Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnel lashed out against AOC’s party for using the $484 billion relief package as a way to gain “leverage” while Americans, as well as small business owners, struggled to stay afloat.
