A pair of healthcare workers from Denver, Colorado, was caught on camera, blocking the way of protesters against the strict lockdown rules mandated by state officials and governments.

Alyson McClaran, the photojournalist who caught the scene on her camera, told the New York Times that two healthcare employees stood in the middle of the street to block protesters who have gathered to the Colorado capitol for “Operation Gridlock” to challenge Governor Jared Polis’s (D) stay-at-home orders.

The pair were blocking the roads until the police stepped in to stop them. They even went head to head with protesters in cars. The healthcare workers wore their scrubs uniforms complete with a mask and just stood in the middle of an intersection, trying to block the traffic of incoming protesters.

In the video, the healthcare worker in scrubs stood in front of a car and stayed nonchalant as the woman in front of her started yelling and showed her “Land of the Free” signage. The woman continued to scream, asking the man in the scrub suit, “You can go to work, why can’t I go to work?”

Lockdown measures were ordered all across America in response to the coronavirus pandemic. However, some states, particularly Democratic-run states, have been imposing overly strict and over the top stay-at-home orders on its residents, causing protesters to come out in the open.

Many of the protesters are calling out to jumpstart the economy so they can go back to work as millions of Americans have already filed for unemployment due to the Chinese virus. Some believe that Democratic governors are only using their lockdown policies for their own benefit and not for keeping its residents safe.

The president has expressed his support for the protesters, saying that he believes “some of the governors have gotten carried away” with their lockdown implementations. He also called for the liberation of states under strict and unfair lockdown rules, singling out Virginia and tweeting, “LIBERATE VIRGINIA, and save your great 2nd Amendment. It is under siege!” The president made that tweet in relation to Virginia’s Ralph Northam, who signed a law that expanded background checks for people who would be purchasing guns and other firearms.
