A restaurant in Portland was burned down by activists after its owner criticized Antifa. The police are now seeking to question the man who was seen on the surveillance camera, starting the fire. Ironically, the owner criticized the vandalism that has been happening in the area because of all the protests. It is believed that the arsonist is an Antifa activist.

Arsonists set fire to a restaurant called Reo’s Ribs located in the city’s Hollywood District on the 23rd of November. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they observed smoke and flames both on the outside and inside the building. Security videos showed the man who started the fire.

KOIN CBS6 shared the video in a tweet, although the face of the suspect was blurred. It is unclear if the face was blurred by the police or by the TV station. “Investigators with @PDXFire say the fire at Reo’s Ribs last month was intentionally set, and they have a suspect they would like to question. This is surveillance footage from that night.”

The video shows the man starting the fire at the rear of the restaurant and adding more fuel to the fire. It seems that the suspect was in full view from the street while he was starting the fire. Firefighters have said that they would like to speak to the person in the video, although it is unclear if the identity of the suspect is known to the officials already. Reo’s Ribs co-owner Myra Girod said that they are relieved that it’s already known who started the fire.

Independent journalist Andy has reported on the incident. “A Portland restaurant owner critical of Antifa’s mass vandalism on Sandy Blvd. had his business burned down shortly after making the comments. Now investigators are saying the fire was an arson attack. This is the surveillance video,” Ngo tweeted.

Many businesses in Portland have been severely affected by all the protests and the riots that have been allowed to happen in the streets of the city.
