Documents obtained by the Rebel News Network revealed that Canada planned on training the Chinese military in winter combat. The planned training was only canceled after requests from American officials. The training would have taken place in a military base in Ontario.

The Rebel News Network found out about the canceled training by accident. The network requested information from the government through official information request channels after seeing reports on a Russian website about a Canadian official who attended a celebration for the Chinese Navy back in April 2019. When the documents were handed over to the Rebel News Network, it appears that those have been meant for redaction. Some words have been greyed out, but they were still readable.

The documents confirmed that a Canadian officer attended the PLA Navy 70th Anniversary Fleet Review in Qingdao, China. The paper also revealed a more sinister story. It showed that Chinese military personnel was supposed to have participated in training for winter combat at Canadian Forces Base Petawawa (CFB Petawawa) in Petawawa, Ontario.

The Chinese military may be preparing for combat against India in their disputed area in the Himalayas. The conditions there are harsh and the terrain rough. The training provided by the Canadian military might also be used in future confrontations with the United States military.

These revelations are even more concerning because of the fact that the Chinese Communist Party is holding two Canadian citizens as hostages. The two Canadians were detained illegally after Canada arrested Meng Wanzhou, an executive of the Chinese company Huawei for espionage.

The papers also showed that the U.S. Department of Defense has requested that the training be canceled, which is just right since China is fast becoming an adversary of the United States. Since Canada is supposed to be one of America’s main allies, training Chinese troops isn’t really the action of a friendly government.
