Prominent Republican supporters had grown frustrated over President Donald Trump’s legal team after facing several setbacks on their request for a mandatory recount among battleground states.

In an interview for ABC’s “This Week,” Former Gov. Chris Christie called out the President’s legal team as a “national embarrassment.” During the interview, the show’s host George Stephanopoulos asked Christie whether he believes that it is now time for the President to step down and concede with the dubious election results.

The Republican lawmaker responded with a resounding yes and proceeded to vent out his frustration against the legal team. Christie explained that they had ample time and opportunity to present their case in court. However, instead of laying out the evidence and a solid argument, Trump’s legal team decided to do it outside of the court and refused to argue that there is fraudulent activity. “Quite frankly, the conduct of the president’s legal team has been a national embarrassment,” the former New Jersey Governor said.

He went on to say that his loyalty for the President remained strong and had voted for Trump in the two consecutive elections. However, Christie stressed the importance of presenting solid evidence, which the legal team failed to do so. The Republican even suggested that the evidence does not exist, to begin with. Christie eventually concluded that as much as he loved the Republican Party, the country still has to go first.

In addition, Radio host, and staunch Republican supporter, Rush Limbaugh also shared his frustrations with the President’s legal team. Limbaugh said that he was disappointed with how they had promised to present “blockbuster stuff,” yet they failed to prove anything. He lashed out especially against Sidney Powell after the legal team decided to distance themselves away from her.

Over the weekend, Powell claimed that she had enough evidence to prove that Dominion, the software under Smartmatic, was able to transfer President Donald Trump’s votes to his opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden. However, Powell’s hard-to-prove arguments became too much for the team. He also reminded the legal team that if they wanted to prove something, they better hurry because “time is now the essence.”

Finally, Fox News host, Tucker Carlson also blasted the President’s legal team for their failure to deliver what was promised. While Carlson believed that massive fraud occurred on election night, the team failed to substantiate it. He lashed out, saying that the votes have been stolen right before the American people, yet they cannot do anything. “We all saw it happen,” Carlson noted. Moreover, he accused big tech and the mainstream media of colluding with the Democratic Party to manipulate the 2020 elections.

While the President vowed that he would continue the legal battle to obtain fair and honest election results, he had already given a green light for Biden’s transition team.
