The World Health Organization (W.H.O.) reassured the whole world on Tuesday that China is handling an outbreak of the horrific bubonic plague quite well. They added that there is no cause for alarm. However, because of recent developments, a claim by the WHO that there should be no reason to worry about a disease outbreak is actually a valid reason to be worried about it.

Earlier in the year, WHO officials had been singing praises regarding the handling of the Chinese Communist Party of the outbreak in Wuhan. They did not offer any criticism of what the Chinese government was doing even when they refused to share vital information. The delay and the unwillingness of the Chinese government to share information have been the primary cause of the spread of the virus around the world, which has infected millions and killed hundreds of thousands. After months of spreading, the pandemic is not showing any signs of slowing down. WHO has been blamed by some for the rapid spread of the disease. President Donald Trump has blamed the organization for being biased for China and for not doing its job properly.

The President has ordered to stop funding for the WHO. The U.S. is by far the biggest contributor to the health organization.

Now, it seems that WHO officials are working for China again by downplaying the effects of another outbreak. This time the disease is the much more horrific Bubonic Plague. This disease has caused global pandemics in the past and has wiped out millions of the world’s population centuries ago. It is inconceivable what this disease can do the world should it become another pandemic again.

The outbreak in China happened in the Inner Mongolia region. Since 2009, there have been 9 reported deaths caused by the Bubonic Plague in China. The infection is normally caused by rodents and in China where most if not all types of animals are eaten, catching this disease can be a real risk. The person who has been infected with the disease is reported to be a herdsman, who is likely to have come in contact with an infected animal.

Bubonic plague is a particularly painful and horrible disease that can cause a very painful death. It also has a high mortality rate.
