The Jerusalem Post reported that Russia, China, Iran, and Turkey are celebrating the “collapse” of the United States, as it is facing chaos and riots in its streets, these four countries are aiming to further their own economic interests and plan to engage in a Middle East arms race.

According to the report, these regimes have been waiting to see the end of the United States as a global superpower. It said that the IS became the world’s top superpower after the Soviet Union and its allies fell apart in 1989. However, “Russia, China, Iran, and increasingly Turkey have all awaited the period when the world would become multi-polar again.” They have sought to work more closely together and even went as far as to attend forums where the US is not present. And, to gather a strong force against the US, these countries all have their own well-funded state-owned media outlets like TRT, RT, Iran’s Tasnim, and numerous Chinese media outlets like the Global Times. The policies and agendas of these countries are to wait for moments of US weakness and take advantage to push their own agendas.

A Russian senator named Aleksey Pushkov posted on his Twitter, saying that the United States is “crumbling,” then cited its withdrawals from Syria and Afghanistan as proof. He also added that the coronavirus crisis faced by the US and its failure to send help to its European allies during the peak of the pandemic just showed that it is weakening. “America has been on a ‘hysterical’ tirade against China and now faces an internal schism and racial rebellion,” Pushkov continued.

Another Russian authority, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, told Russia’s TASS media, “Thank God things that happen in America do not happen in [Russia].” He said that as if Russia is not facing controversies regarding COVID-19. Earlier last month, reports of Russia playing with its coronavirus cases numbers made headlines, and moreover, the controversies continue to follow its government as reports of people falling out of windows kept on coming. The people reported having “mysteriously” falling out of windows and ultimately dying are mostly health workers, nurses, doctors, and even politicians.

On the other hand, Turkey’s state-run media is publishing news stories that claim US corporations are “looting” black communities, when the truth is, it’s the other way around. The media also said that Turkey supports the protests, just like China.

These regimes aim to take advantage of the crises facing the United States to advance in an arms and geopolitical race.

“The big four–China, Russia, Turkey, and Iran – are poised to exploit and emerge stronger. Where once George Bush Sr. spoke of a new world order, now these countries want to bury that US world order amid the chaos,” the report concluded.
