Protesters in Atlanta attacked the CNN headquarters on Friday, vandalizing the company sign and causing damage in the building. The attack happened as protests across the country erupted in major cities. The protests are supposed to be in reaction to the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. However, many of the protests have downgraded into looting and rioting in many places.

The attack on the CNN headquarters was noticed by a lot of personalities, including President Trump. He retweeted a post by one of his followers which suggested that the protestors who are damaging CNN’s building were somehow encouraged by the network and so it had it coming.

“In an ironic twist of fate, CNN HQ is being attacked by the very riots they promoted as noble & just. Oops,” was the caption of the tweet that was shared by the President.

A CNN reporter was also arrested in Minneapolis while reporting about the protests. He was actually on air when he was placed in handcuffs by police officers. The whole crew was arrested but was released later on and was able to continue their coverage.

Other personalities have pointed out how CNN has encouraged the kind of behavior being exhibited by the protestors in the past. They have supported Antifa rioters and other left-wing activists who have done disruptive protests while saying bad things about the lockdown protestors in Michigan and other places where conservatives have come out against restrictive measures imposed by Democrats.

In the meantime, Hollywood celebrities are not going to miss out on this opportunity to get some attention. Actor Jamie Foxx has traveled to Minneapolis to offer his much-needed presence to the protests.

“All I wanted to do is let you know we not afraid to stand,” Foxx said, adding that, “‘We are not afraid of the moment.” Foxx is a multimillionaire actor who lives in a lavish house and is famous all over the world.
