On Tuesday, President Donald Trump reiterated his strong stand against the Democrats’ push for widespread vote-by-mail in the upcoming 2020 elections.

In his press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Trump declared that we are not destroying America by allowing things like vote-by-mail to happen. The President also explained that his stand was more to do with “fairness” and “honesty” and the United States itself.

Vote-by-mail has been frowned upon by many because of its proven high risk for voter fraud, but the Democrats still push for it, in hopes of seeing Sleepy Joe win the impossible. Trump warned that if we allow widespread vote-by-mail, leftist activists could print off their own ballots and sign them, steal ballots from mailboxes, and even double count them. The possibilities of cheating are endless. The President also added that when ballots are stolen, they are taken to places where people are forced to vote. “They take many, many ballots, and they put them all together, and then they just dump them, and nobody has any idea whether they’re crooked or not.”

Trump explained that he would support vote-by-mail only for people who need it the most, like an absentee ballot for someone in another state or has a serious medical condition, which doesn’t allow them to go out and vote. But the all-in vote-by-mail voting just seemed so unnecessary, especially in places like California. Trump said that he is worried that if California sends millions of ballots through the mail, it will send those out to millions, to anybody, even to people that aren’t citizens, to illegal immigrants. “Anybody that walks in California is going to get a ballot.”

The President said that vote-by-mail would only produce a “rigged system” of voting in the country, saying that when you do it, you’re just asking for fraud to happen. Trump declared that he would continue to go against mail-in voting and encourage Americans to present themselves and vote. “Voting is a great honor. And people love to go out and vote, and I want to keep it that way,” the President said.

The Democrats push for the vote-by-mail system to take effect on the 2020 presidential elections in November, claiming that it is necessary due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and that it would help lessen the threat of the virus. However, Breitbart News has recently reported data that disproves the Democrats’ claims. They showed that after Wisconsin held its primary election with in-person voting, only a few dozen people at maximum were confirmed to have contracted the virus. And to further disprove the Democrats, South Korea held its elections just days after, which resulted in no new coronavirus cases.
