WHO Goes Against Trump And Backs China Once Again
The World Health Organization is once again showing the world that it was just a mouthpiece for the Chinese communist party when it claimed that the coronavirus is natural and that it is not man-made, right after President Trump has said that he has seen evidence which suggests that the virus originated from a laboratory in the Chinese city of Wuhan. WHO is coming to China’s defense of China as there is increasing anger around the world for the way the Chinese government handled the initial outbreak of the disease.
President Trump is not mincing any words when referring to how the Chinese government handled the pandemic. Trump has blamed China for its attempt at a cover-up. He has also targeted WHO, which seems to be doing nothing but try to make China look good in the eyes of the world.
The President was questioned whether he has seen any evidence that shows the virus came from a laboratory in Wuhan. “Yes, I have. Yes, I have,” the President said, without giving specific details as to what he had seen. “And I think the World Health Organization should be ashamed of themselves because they’re like the public relations agency for China.”
It will be remembered that the President has cut the US funding for the World Health Organization, saying that its failure in responding properly to the virus is one of the reasons why the situation got worse. The United States used to be the single largest contributor for the WHO funding, so its ability to function as an organization can be limited by the budget cut.
The intelligence apparatus of the United States government is now doing research to check whether the virus actually came from a lab or not. If it did come from a lab, China might face an increase in hostility against it and a number of economic sanctions that can cripple its economy.
