The Republican Party Demands Answers From the W.H.O.
Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the head of the World Health Organization close ties to China are starting to expose themselves and Republican’s are demanding answers from him.
In a letter sent to Tedros, GOP lawmakers pointed out: “Throughout the crisis, the WHO has shied away from placing any blame on the Chinese government, which is in essence the Communist Party of China. You, as leader of the WHO, even went so far as to praise the Chinese government’s “transparency” during the crisis, when, in fact, the regime has consistently lied to the world by underreporting their actual infection and death statistics.”
The WHO sent out their most damning tweet in January, stating that there was no clear evidence of coronavirus being transmitted from human to human. They cited the Chinese authorities in this tweet that will forever haunt them. See below:
Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel #coronavirus (2019-nCoV) identified in #Wuhan, #China🇨🇳. pic.twitter.com/Fnl5P877VG

The GOP also questioned WHO’s choice to not advise countries to restrict travel or trade to China. Making sure to include the amount of funding the WHO receives from the US, the lawmakers assert how important it is for American taxpayers to know that their tax dollars were spent on an organization that supports the world, not just in the interest of communist China.

Ranking GOP member Jim Jordan has said, “The World Health Organization should be ashamed that they relied on Chinese propaganda when deciding how to combat the coronavirus crisis. President Trump is right to question the WHO’s role in global health going forward.”
