Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein was convicted by a New York City jury of third degree rape and of a first degree criminal sex act on Monday.

67-year-old Weinstein was stunned when he heard the verdict. Attorney Arthur Aidala told Variety and other reporters right after the conviction, “The words Weinstein said over and over again to me is, ‘I’m innocent, I’m innocent, I’m innocent. How could this happen in America?”

Weinstein is currently being held at Bellevue Hospital prison ward in Manhattan and is waiting for his sentencing on March 11, 2020. He faces five to 25 years.

A video filmed in 2013 of former First Lady Michelle Obama praising Weinstein at a White House event has resurfaced.

“I want to start by thanking Harvey Weinstein for organizing this amazing day,” the first lady said to the attendees. “This is possible because of Harvey. He is a wonderful human being, a good friend and just a powerhouse. The fact that he and his team took the time to make this happen to all of you should say something not about at me or about this place, but about you. Everybody here, here because of you.”
