Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) recently spoke with Showtime’s Desus & Mero in an interview in which she claimed that violent gang members from “the hood” have more integrity than President Trump. Waters is now in her 15th term and also called Trump a “street player” who has “flirted with gangsters.” She insisted “this country cannot tolerate another four years of him.”

The 81-year-old representative was one of the first to call for Trump’s impeachment in 2017, long before the infamous call with Ukraine President Zelensky.

Last October, Waters tweeted that impeachment wasn’t “good enough” for President Trump but that he deserved imprisonment and solitary confinement instead.

Waters told Showtime’s Desus & Mero, “I have worked in some of the toughest communities. I’ve worked with gangs. I’ve worked with Crips, I’ve worked with Bloods. And there is more integrity in many of these young people in the hood than his man has.” Waters added, “This is a flawed character, and I’ve never seen anything like this.”
