Trump’s legal team member and former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi exposed the Biden connection to Ukraine’s natural gas company Burisma in her opening argument on Monday.

Bondi showed Ukraine’s natural gas company Burisma was so corrupt that the Biden’s roles were not only suspect but warranted investigation. Bondi pointed out the House Impeachment managers referred to “the Bidens and Burisma 400 times to try to make us believe there was nothing to see.”

She gave a detailed timeline of Burisma, its founder Mykola Zlochevsky, and Hunter Biden’s employment, the investigations of Zelochevsky and Burisma for corruption, and Vice President Joe Biden’s efforts.

The first article of impeachment is about Trump’s demand to Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky to fully investigate what happened with the Bidens, but in her statement, Bondi argued President Trump was justified to ask this.

The Democrats have said the corruption at Burisma was before Hunter, and that Burisma’s founder Zlochevsky was in exile when Hunter became a board member, and that President Trump was attempting a smear job on the Bidens since Joe Biden was running against Trump in the 2020 presidential election.

Bondi mentioned Chris Heinz, the stepson of Secretary of State John Kerry, Devon Archer, and Hunter’s investment firm and their involvement in Ukraine.

Bondi went on to cite how the United Kingdom’s Serious Fraud Office’s actions against Bursima, Ukraine’s law enforcement, and the assistant secretary of the State Department George Kent, and former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, and Washington Post, ABC News, and Kyiv Post all raised questions about the Vice President’s son working for Burisma.

She used Hunter Biden’s interview with ABC, witness testimonies, and clips of news reports to help argue that Biden was paid an enormous amount of money for being on the board of Burisma while the company was being investigated. Bondi also played the clip of then Vice President Biden bragging he had the prosecutor who was investigated Burisma fired by threatening to withhold aid.

Here’s Bondi’s entire opening argument.
