Senator Rand Paul(R-KY) said he was “offended and shocked” about Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) comments, implying President Trump’s children profited from his foreign policy.

Paul said Trump’s children should sue Schumer for defamation of character.

Schumer was referring to former National Security advisor John Bolt’s book the New York Times reported on Monday. Bolton claimed he told Attorney General William Barr he was concerned the president was granting favor to Chinese and Turkish leaders in 2019.

Schumer referenced a New York Times article in a press conference saying, “Now, just look at the other New York Times report last night about Ambassador Bolton’s book. Several members of the administration had concerns about the president’s dealings with autocrats.”

“Did the president have financial interests at stake when he was talking to Erdogan or…Xi and others? Maybe his kids had some economic interest at stake. And, did it impact our nation’s foreign policy with those countries?” Schumer asked. “Those questions are not the subject of the president’s impeachment trial, but this report should be a warning sign to any Republican.”

“So, Hunter Biden makes a million dollars a year. That’s documented,” Rand said on American’s Newsroom. “But, Schumer simply creates and makes up and says, ‘Oh, maybe the president’s kids are making money.’”

Rand pointed out John Bolton is making a profit from his book, possibly a million dollar advance, and Hunter raked in the cash from Ukraine, so neither of these two are objective witnesses.
