House Impeachment Manager Jerry Nadler (D-NY) called President Trump a “dictator” in his fiery speech to the Senate on the fourth day of the Senate impeachment proceedings.

“He is a dictator. This must not stand. And that is why, another reason, he must be removed from office,” said Nadler, disregarding the fact that 63 million Americans voted for Trump.

He noted that no other president has ignored demands from Congress or subpoenas like Trump has, and warned the House and Senate will “lose all power to hold any president accountable” if the Trump is not removed from office.

Nadler argued that President Trump wants to be “all-powerful, and doesn’t want to have to respect the Congress, he does not have to respect the representative of the will of the people.”

Watch:

Nadler’s blistering comments came as the Democrats wrapped up their opening arguments in the impeachment trail, maintaining Trump attempted to “cheat” in the upcoming election and should be removed from the White House.

President Trump’s legal team promises to bring an aggressive defense in their opening statements on Saturday morning.
