CNN anchor Chris Cuomo bashed Senator Martha McSally (R-AZ) by saying,”she bears no resemblance to McCain’s dignity, decency, discretion,” after a comment she made to CNN reporter Manu Raju.

Cuomo later told CNN host Don Lemon that McSally “acted like a punk.”

The exchange Cuomo was referring to was between McSally and CNN reporter Manu Raju, who asked McSally if the Senate should consider new evidence in the impeachment trial.

“Manu, you’re a liberal hack. I’m not talking to you,” replied McSally.

“You’re not going to comment?,” asked Raju.

“You’re a liberal hack, buddy,” said McSally.

Cuomo called McSally’s remark “textbook Trump,” and criticized her for using the viral exchange in her campaign email. Cuomo went on to say he “can’t believe people would vote for her” in November’s election in Arizona.

Other CNN anchors took turns bashing the senator, including Wolf Blitzer. The Newsroom’s anchor called McSally’s comment “disgusting” and “awful,” and suggested McSally should apologize to Raju.

McSally told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham she has no regrets for what she said, and pointed out that CNN reporters “hate Trump” and are “in cahoots with the Democrats,” and they chase Republicans down to “ask trapping questions.”

“I’m a fighter pilot, you know, I called it like it is, and that’s what we see out of the mainstream media, especially CNN, every single day, so obviously I’m going, to tell the truth, and I did it today, and it’s laughable how they’ve responded. They’re cheerleading the Democrats; they hate the president,” McSally added.
