Queen Elizabeth and the Buckingham Palace released a statement Saturday Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will no longer use their “royal Highness” titles, and will repay the renovation expenses of Frogmore Cottage, which reportedly cost British taxpayers 2.4 million pounds.

“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved members of my family,” said the statement from Her Majesty.

The couple will still be Duke and Duchess of Sussex but “can no longer formally represent The Queen” and since they won’t be carrying out any royal duties, they will not receive public funds anymore.

“It is my whole family’s hope that today’s agreement allows them to start building a happy and peaceful new life,” the Queen added.

Prince Harry will still get his yearly financial earnings of  £2.5 million from his father, Prince Charles, from the Duchy of Cornwall income. Harry and Meghan have an estimated net worth of about $30 million already. Financial experts say the couple could easily create a billion dollar brand.

The Telegraph reported that before Mexit was announced, Meghan re-registered her old California-based company Frim Fram Inc, in Delaware, to avoid tax liabilities from California.

Prince Harry and Meghan shocked everyone with their announcement on January 8, with their plans to “step back as senior members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent,” and spend their time in the UK and North America.

Shortly after their stunning news, dubbed as “Mexit,” a video of Prince Harry telling Disney CEO Robert Iger about Meghan’s voiceover skills went viral on social media.

Some said the video of Prince Harry is embarrassing and not befitting of a member of the British royal family, but others thought there’s nothing wrong with it.

A waterfront home in West Vancouver with a price tag of 21 million pounds has caught Meghan’s eye, but Canada’s biggest newspaper The Globe and Mail doesn’t seem very happy about the couple’s plans to live there. The newspaper published an editorial Monday with the headline “Harry and Meghan, and why members of the Royal Family can’t live in Canada.” The article says their relocation violates laws that keep the British monarchy separate from Canada.

Prince Harry and Meghan want to live in the U.S., but Meghan does not want to move here until President Trump is out of the White House, according to reports.
