CNN released the audio of the heated exchange between Senator Bernie Sanders and Senator Elizabeth Warren at Tueday’s Democratic debates on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360.

Most people saw how Warren refused to shake Sanders’ hand post debate, but now the audio is available revealing what was said in the awkward moment that went viral.

“I think you called me a liar on national TV,” Warren told Sanders, referring to his denial of her claim that he told her back in 2018 that no woman could beat Donald Trump.

“What?” replied Sanders.

“I think you called me a liar on national TV,” repeated Warren.

“Let’s not do it right now,” said Sanders. “You want to have that discussion, we’ll have that discussion.”

“Anytime,” said Warren.

“You called me a liar, you told me… Alright let’s not do it now,” said Warren, as Tom Steyer stood by waiting to get his attention.

When Sanders was asked by debate moderator Abby Phillip about the comment, he denied it.

“Well, as a matter of fact, I didn’t say that. I don’t want to waste a whole lot of time on this, because this is what Donald Trump and maybe some of the media want. Anybody knows me knows that it’s incomprehensible that I would think that a woman cannot be president of the United States,” Sanders replied. “Go to YouTube today. There’s a video of me 30 years ago talking about how a woman could become president of the United States.”

Phillip then asked Sanders again, “So Sen. Sanders, I do want to be clear here, you’re saying that you never told Sen. Warren that a woman could not win the election?”

Sanders confirmed by stating, “That is correct.”

Phillip totally dismissed Sanders reply and asked Warren, “Sen. Warren, what did you think when Sen. Sanders told you a woman could not win the election?”
