Ukraine’s former Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko says Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch lied under oath during the impeachment inquiry.

Lutsenko was appointed as the new Prosecutor General after his predecessor Viktor Shokin was fired due to then Vice President Joe Biden’s request.

In an interview with One American News reporter Chanel Rion, Lutsenko said Ambassador Yovanovitch and Mr. George Kent visited him for a “small negotiation” during which she asked him to “change some old deputies.” Yovanovitch asked Lutsenko to close the case of one person, but Lutensenko told her that it was “impossible” to “close any case without investigation.”

Lutsenko explained, “So I took a piece of paper on my table and I write these three, not cases, but surnames, Kasko, Leshchenko, Shabunin.” Then he told Yovanovitch to continue with the “untouchable list.” Yovanovitch then asked him why he was acting so “serious.”

The former prosecutor-general explained to her, “While I am general prosecutor, no president nor ambassador could give me, could announce me such lists.”

Yovanovitch got visibly upset and ran out of Lutsenko’s office.

Later, Lutsenko found a case when $7 billion went to the U.S. to Franklin Templeton Investments. Lutsenko claims that Yovanovitch blocked the Ukraine prosecutors from working with U.S. officials to address the corruption in Ukraine. Lutsenko showed the letter that he wrote as evidence.

Lutsenko said it was shocking to see Yovanovitch testify in front of Congress and perjury herself.

“I was once again shocked when madame Yovanovitch told two members of the committee that Lutsenko asked me to organize his meeting with American attorney general but you know gentlemen that there is a procedure for this she told, the procedure that Lutsenko should even, must give us and short topic what points he want he wants to discuss with American law enforcement bodies, and Yovanovitch said and he never gave us such an information,” said Lutsenko.

Lutsenko added, “I have bad news for madame Yovanovitch. This is my letter, my deputy letter to request for cooperation in investigation against the criminal organization of Yanukovytch and regarding possible investment in the US based mutual and other funds for the purpose of money laundering.”

“So she been under oath she declare in the Congress that I never sent any information. This is official letter about topic I wanted to discuss in the US and Yovanovitch blocked me. She never answered me after this request and she lied in Congress. This is the evidence. I am happy that I have this document because how I could explain to American public that I am right. This this is this document with signature with stamps with everything,” he said.
