Former president of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski, who became a member of Burisma’s board about the time that Hunter Biden did, said it is normal for corporations to hire well-connected people for advisory positions. Kwasniewski told Associated Press that he and Hunter got their jobs at Burisma, because of the influence of their names.

“I understand that if someone asks me to be part of some project it’s not only because I’m so good, it’s also because I am Kwasniewski and I am a former president of Poland,” said Kwasniewski. “And this is all inter-connected. No-names are a nobody. Being Biden is not bad. It’s a good name.”

“He was a normal member of this group,” he said. “We didn’t ask him—and he never said anything — about his father.” It was only at dinners that Hunter was asked about how his father was doing and on one occasion Hunter talked about his brother Beau, who had passed.

Even though Hunter didn’t have any experience in energy or natural gas, and had never visited Ukraine during his 5-year employment with Burisma, Kwasniewski claims Hunter was an essential part of Burisma. Hunter was also struggling with alcohol and crack-cocaine addiction.

“He collected information,” said Kwasniewskii.“ He was useful for us because he knew something that we didn’t know.” Hunter received as much as $83,000 per month from Burisma for “corporate governance, capital markets and gas drilling equipment, where Americans are world leaders.”

Kwasniewski did not say what then Vice President Joe Biden was thinking when he threatened to withhold U.S. aid of one billion dollars if the Ukrainian government did not fire Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma.

This was after Shokin had authorized a raid on the Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky’s home and the seizure of his property.

Watch:

Hunter’s employment at Burisma became the focus of the impeachment hearings into President Trump. Burisma became central to the proceedings when President Trump asked Zelensky to look into the Hunter Biden and Burisma.

Peter Schweizer, author of “Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends,” explained why Hunter was paid so much by Burisma.

Schweizer told Fox News’ Mark Levin, “When you overlay the financial payments with the fact that Joe Biden as point person on Obama administration policy to Ukraine was steering billions of dollars of Western money to Ukraine it becomes crystal clear exactly why they were paying him money. They wanted access and they wanted to influence Joe Biden. And Joe Biden has been around a long time here, and he had to know exactly why his son was being paid.”
