BET founder Robert Johnson told CNBC’s Hadley Gamble that he does not to think there’s a Democratic presidential candidate who can keep Trump from winning the 2020 election.

“I think the president has always been in a position where it’s his to lose based on his bringing a sort of disruptive force into what would be called political norms,” Johnson said on Squawk Box.

Johnson pointed out that people like Trump’s style and he has the ability to “dominate the news cycle” and it puts him ahead of the rest.

He noted, “If you take a snapshot today, I don’t think that group is capable of beating Trump despite what the polls say,” referring to the national polls that show Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and former Vice President Joe Biden leading Trump.
