President Trump donated his third quarter salary of $100,000 to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Health, with the funds designated for the continued fight against the opioid crisis.

In 2017, over 70,000 Americans died from drug overdose with many of them involving opioids.

Trump has honored his campaign pledge to donate his $400,000 salary to worthy causes.

Last August, President Trump donated $100,000 to the U.S.Surgeon General’s office. His first-quarter salary went to the Department of Homeland Security.

Last year, the President gave his salary to the Small Business Administration, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, and the Department of Homeland Security.

President Trump contributed his salary to the Transportation Department, the Health and Human Services Department, the National Park Service, and the Department of Education in 2017.
