Associated Press Deletes False Tweet About Trump ‘Contradicting The Testimony Of His Own Ambassador’
Wednesday morning, the Associated Press tweeted that President Trump contradicted Ambassador Gordon Sondland’s testimony, which was false since Trump was reading from Sondland’s testimony.
President Trump spoke with reporters briefly before he departed for his trip to Texas. He said Sondland’s testimony meant that “it’s all over.”

President Trump read from his notes: “I want nothing. I want nothing. I want no quid pro quo. Tell [Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy] to do the right thing.” These were Sondland’s exact words.

AP deleted the tweet after others pointed out it was incorrect. Even anti-Trump CNN reporter Daniel Dale tweeted that AP was incorrect.
This is wrong. What Trump told reporters did not contradict Sondland's testimony.

Sondland testified Trump told him "I want nothing" from Ukraine. That's what Trump was saying to reporters -- that Sondland testified he'd said "I want nothing." https://t.co/uTZzq1Nur1
