White House Releases First Ukraine Call Transcript Which Has No Mention of Biden and No Quid Pro Quo
One of the centerpieces of the Democratic impeachment witch hunt is to paint President Trump as a desperate politician obsessed with investigating Joe Biden for his own political gain. On Friday, the White House dealt a severe blow to this narrative by releasing the transcript of the first call between newly-elected Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky.
BREAKING: The transcript of @POTUS’s first call with President Zelensky has been released, and it clearly vindicates @realDonaldTrump.

The transcript shows President Trump and President Zelensky had a great conversation where President Trump congratulated him on his election victory. Most importantly though, the transcript shows two very important things. First, there is absolutely no mention of Joe Biden or his son Hunter’s corrupt business dealings in the Ukraine.
Second, President Trump offers to host President Zelensky for a no strings attached visit to the White House saying, “When you’re settled in and ready, I’d like to invite you to the White House. We’ll have a lot of things to talk about, but we’re with you all the way.” This, like the rest of the transcript reads like any normal call between two world leaders would.
We now have both the April and July calls between President Trump and President Zelensky. Once again, no linkage of any kind.

The WH has displayed unprecedented transparency.
Meanwhile, Democrats haven’t even released all of the deposition transcripts.
Even with this unprecedented level of transparency, Democrats are still picking apart the transcript to try to catch the Trump Administration in a “lie”. Reporters have begun parsing it for minute details to try and make the Administration look like they are being untruthful even if they just misspoke.
This seems notable. There's no mention of combatting corruption in the first transcript of Trump's call with Zelensky, despite the White House telling reporters in an April readout that rooting out corruption was discussed. I've asked the White House to explain the discrepancy.
