The stuffy liberal magazine The Atlantic released a profile on former New York City Mayor and current attorney for President Trump, Rudy Giuliani today. The article was a complete attack job on one of the President’s closest allies. However, the former New York Mayor did not take the obviously biased questions lightly and fought back, putting the reporter and the magazine in their place.

The article was written by “reporter” Eliana Plott who felt the need to put the word “work” in quotes every time she mentioned the work that Giuliani does for President Trump. The article also includes the unsubstituted claim about Giuliani that “even among the president’s closest allies, Giuliani is now the subject of scorn.”

The entire article paints Giuliani as a crazy, out of touch far-right conspiracy theorist who is unraveling as the article blames him for “putting shit in Trump’s head” about the Biden’s and the Ukraine. All quotes in the article other than Giuliani’s are from anonymous sources.

For his part, Giuliani got off some fierce quotes about the stupidity of the investigation and how he will be proven right in the end. Here are some of his best jabs from the article.

Explaining his reasons for pursuing the Biden/ Ukraine scandal:

“I’m not acting as a lawyer. I’m acting as someone who has devoted most of his life to straightening out government. Anything I did should be praised.”

About the anonymous sources:

“They’re a bunch of cowards,” Giuliani told me in response. “I didn’t do anything wrong. The president knows they’re a bunch of cowards.”

In reference to the “whistleblower”:

“The State Department is concerned about my activities? I gotta believe [the whistle-blower] is totally out of the loop, or just a liar.”

“If this guy is a whistle-blower, then I’m a whistle-blower too. You should be happy for your country that I uncovered this.”

Talking about how this scandal will all play out:

“It is impossible that the whistle-blower is a hero and I’m not. And I will be the hero! These morons—when this is over, I will be the hero,”
