Attendees at Political Fundraiser for Illinois Senator Martin Sandoval Mock Trump Assassination
During a fundraiser held for Illinois Senator Martin A. Sandoval on Saturday, attendees pretended to assassinate President Trump.
WCIA3 news anchor Mark Maxwell posted photos on Twitter from the event that took place in Winfield. Maxwell tweeted, “A political fundraiser for @SenatorSandoval simulates an assassination attempt against a mock @realDonaldTrump decked out in Mexican garb. Looks like a man pointed a fake assault weapon at the fake President to pose for a picture.”
It is unclear whether Senator Sandoval was aware that the incident happened, but he did respond to CBS News after people on social media began tagging the Secret Service.
“The incident that took place is unacceptable. I don’t condone violence toward the President or anyone else. I apologize that something like this happened at my event,” said Sandoval.

I agree! I think it is time the secret service stepped up their game and started arresting these senators and Congress people that call for violence against American people and our President. Anyone promoting violence toward our President should be arrested in the spot!

Democratics are truly the party of violence. I am leaving the party, one I have belonged to for 49 years! They call for violence toward military, police, blacks that don’t agree with them, whites, anti Semitic rants, etc, etc. NO MORE, IM DONE! Trump in 2020.
