Actor and activist George Clooney is gushing over Joe Biden and the idea of having him as president. The former E.R. actor said that Biden is a very smart and wise man who also projects compassion and kindness. Clooney gave entirely positive statements during an interview with USA Today, “I feel like we’re in so much better shape because I do think this: Moments meet the man or woman. And this is Joe Biden’s moment,” Clooney said. “He is a compassionate, kind man. And we’re going to need that after we’ve lost probably close to 400,000 people by the time we get [the pandemic] in our rear-view mirror.”

The actor claimed that the country will be needing compassion at this time and that Biden is just the right person to provide that. “We’re going to need compassion through this and [Biden] is every bit of that, on top of being a very smart, wise guy, wise man,” he added that Biden would likely have a very effective presidency.

As expected, Clooney did not mention the Biden family controversy in which Hunter Biden is accused of using his father’s name and influence to gain favors from other countries and foreign companies. USA Today entertainment writer Brian Truitt who was conducting the interview did not ask Clooney about the scandal or any other tough question. He opted to ask Clooney questions regarding his Netflix movie and his pet.

That is the same kind of treatment that the media will be giving Biden should he get into the White House. They will not be asking him the same tough questions and they will not disrespect him the way that they did with President Trump.

Clooney has been a major fundraiser for the Biden campaign. He has also used his popularity for his advocacies which are mostly political in nature. He has played a significant role in the creation of South Sudan. That country has descended into chaos as it was engulfed in a bloody civil war mainly because the likes of Clooney failed to foresee what the results of their actions would be.
