Joe Biden is trying to scare the American public by offering a bleak outlook of the coming months and the holidays. During a press briefing on Tuesday, the former vice president said that the worst is yet to come in America’s struggle with the pandemic.

Biden read prepared remarks during the briefing since he is having difficulty in remembering things. “One thing I promise you, about my leadership during this crisis: I’m going to tell it to you straight. I’m going to tell you the truth, and here is the simple truth. Our darkest days in the battle against COVID are ahead of us, not behind us,” Biden said.

“So we need to prepare ourselves, to steel our spines, as frustrating as it is to hear. It’s going to take patience, persistence, and determination to beat this virus,” he added. Biden’s doom-laden tone is very different from that of President Donald Trump who always tried to sound hopeful. President Trump kept on repeating that the country is about to turn the tide on the fight against coronavirus.

It seems that Biden has no faith in the vaccines that are being distributed now. Based on his statements, he does not think that the vaccines, which have been developed with the help of American scientists will work at all.

The press briefing also had a bizarre moment. Peter Doocy of Fox News shouted a question at Biden. He asked if Joe Biden believes the story about Hunter is a smear campaign by the Russians. Curtis Houck reported on the incident, “Fox’s Peter Doocy asks Biden if he still believes that “the stories from the fall about your son Hunter were Russian disinformation and a smear campaign,” Houck tweeted.

“After first mocking Doocy as a “one-horse pony” and saying “God love you,” Biden replies “yes, yes, and yes.” It’s unclear what Biden was saying yes to. It’s unclear if he believes that the story about his son is just a smear campaign.
