Hollywood actor Tom Cruise went on an all-out rant for the second time, leading five crew members to quit their jobs after the actor repeatedly threatened them over lack of social distancing.

Following his explosive rant, Cruise had yet again shown his rage against crew members. In a report from The Sun, the media outlet wrote that tension has been building for Mission Impossible’s crew members for months. The Sun also noted that after Cruise’s public rant, some of the staff members considered it as a final straw and left off the set. They claimed that they are unable to keep up with the actor’s strict instructions.

The media outlet also added that another source confirmed that the actor had taken it upon himself to enforce the coronavirus guidelines. In a statement from the entertainment union Bectu, Spencer Mcdonald admitted that it was a difficult year for freelancers after the economic shutdown. Mcdonald added that the last thing they needed is a Hollywood millionaire who kept screaming and threatening its crew.

Previously, Cruise made headlines after he shouted at crew members who were within three feet. His explosive rant was also caught on tape, “We are the gold standard. They’re back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us!” Cruise said. He also claimed that they should be thankful because he is doing his best to keep the film set afloat, as he went on to talk to the studio, producers, and insurance companies. “We are creating thousands of jobs, you motherf***ers,” Cruise screamed.

However, his angry tirade did not end there. He even went on to say that he did not want to see the crew again. Cruise threatened that if the staff failed to follow social distancing guidelines, they would be immediately fired on the spot. The actor lashed out, saying that he cannot accept any apologies because thousands of people are losing their homes because the Hollywood industry was shut down.

The actor’s angry tirade came after the film set for Mission Impossible 7 was suspended following news that COVID-19 infected 12 people. To continue filming, Cruise held crisis talks with the film’s director, Christopher McQuarrie. As a result, 150 extras were instructed not to return to the film set.

While Cruise received a massive backlash over his verbal abuse against crew members, Comedy Central, and anti-Trump supporter, Trevor Noah shared his support for the actor. On Wednesday, Noah said that Cruise’s meltdown is justifiable, adding that everyone should take the threats of the COVID-19 virus more seriously.
