Vocal Trump-hater and Hollywood actress, Debra Messing, refuses to apologize on Monday for saying vile things against President Donald Trump, including her hopes that he would get “raped” in prison.

The actress issued the statement following her initial post in which she declared that the President would become a “popular boyfriend” in prison. Shen then hoped that U.S. President would suffer extreme sexual abuse when he will be put to prison.

The actress later apologized for her sick tweets, saying that she did not intend to make members of the LGBTQ community feel disrespected.“ Rape is an act of violence,” Messing wrote. However, she justified that Trump deserved to become a victim, ‘’Trump has perpetrated violence on hundreds of millions of people. My hope is (and this is the first time in my life) that the tables are turned, and he is the victim of perpetrators,” her post read.

Social media pundits immediately expressed their disgust against Messing’s horrible tweet. Jessica O’Donnell wrote that the actress’s statements were one of the most “heinous” things that she had seen on the social media platform. O’Donnell also shared that prison rape is a “‘huge problem” in the country and not something that anyone would wish on their own enemy. She concluded that Messing was a “vile human being.”

In another tweet by LGBTQ author Chad Felix Greene, he shared his experience of being infected by HIV through rape. He said that if Messing was this “hateful and petty,” she had no place to pretend that she was a good person. He also blasted that there should be no excuse to perpetuate trauma to fit her own hallucinations.

The actress would later apologize for her disgusting tweet. In her post, Messing wrote that she had been an LGBTQ ally and that she did not mean to hurt any member of the gay community. The actress also went on to admit that it was not her “proudest moment.” However, Messing would continue to defend her statements saying that Trump had victimized millions of people. She continued to stand by her comments stating that she wished that the “tables turned” but apologized for how she handled it.

This is not the first time that the star had issued problematic tweets. In a previous social media post, Messing demanded that the names of those who attended a Beverly Hills Trump fundraiser should be made public and even calling it out as a “Blacklist.”

The President immediately fought back against Messing, calling out the “Will and Grace” star as a “bad actress.” He then slammed her for making problematic statements against mental health awareness. Finally, Trump labeled her as a “McCarthy style Racist.”
