Youtube has taken another step to support Joe Biden’s bid to get into the White House. The video platform has announced plans that it will be removing content that questions the supposed victory of Joe Biden in the recently concluded elections. This comes in the face of numerous claims of election fraud and the robust protest being launched by President Trump and his team. They also announced that they will be promoting “authoritative” news sources like CNN and ABC.

The Google-owned platform made the announcement through a blog post. “Yesterday was the safe harbor deadline for the U.S. Presidential election and enough states have certified their election results to determine a President-elect. Given that, we will start removing any piece of content uploaded today (or anytime after) that misleads people by alleging that widespread fraud or errors changed the outcome of the 2020 U.S. Presidential election, in line with our approach towards historical U.S. Presidential elections,” the blog post read.

They said that they would be removing videos that claim that Biden won because of computer glitches. In regards to the authoritative sources, they said, “Now let’s look at recommendations, one of the main ways our viewers find content. Limiting the reach of borderline content and prominently surfacing authoritative information are important ways we protect people from problematic content that doesn’t violate our Community Guidelines.”

The announcement by Youtube should be concerning for conservatives. It is a blatant attempt to control the narrative. They are silencing anyone who dares to question them. They are just straight out de-platforming anyone who will question the legitimacy of the last elections even though there is plenty of evidence to support the claim that there have been cases of election fraud.

Google and other big tech companies have all pitched in to help Biden during the election. Twitter, for example, has silenced conservatives and supporters of President Trump. They have even gone so far as to censor the President’s tweets.
