Mega pop star Taylor swift scolded and shamed Nashville bar patrons who refused to wear a mask, adding that she was relieved former Vice President Joe Biden won.

In her interview for the cover story of Entertainment Weekly, the pop star shared her disdain against people who failed to wear a mask while visiting bars at Nashville’s broadway area. The popstar began by saying that by now, she thought people would have understood and respected the fact that going out would cause a “ripple effect” to spread the COVID-19 virus. Unfortunately, Swift believed that it is not the case. “Obviously, we’re seeing that a lot of people don’t seem to have their eyes open to that—or if they do, a lot of people don’t care, which is upsetting,” Swift said.

She then tried to relate the coronavirus pandemic to her song “Epiphany.” According to Swift, the song was in honor of her grandfather, who was a World War II veteran. She claimed that healthcare workers are also going through a difficult battle, just as her grandfather did in the 1940s.

In her research, the pop star shared that she had a sense of realization that the trauma her grandfather must have felt during the war would be the same trauma that healthcare workers are going through in the frontlines of COVID-19. Swift claimed that in these situations, there are certain things that people cannot “unsee.”

Moreover, the Grammy-award winning singer also celebrated former Vice-President, Joe Biden’s win. She shared that during the election night, she was worried that the former Vice-President would lose the elections. Swift then added that she felt a sense of “relief’ and “calm” when the media announced Biden’s win.

Previously, the pop star had endorsed Biden. She had also blasted against Republican candidate, Marsha Blackburn in 2018, calling her agenda both ”appalling’” and “terrifying.” In return, she decided to throw her support for Democrat Phil Bredesen for Senate and Jim Cooper for House of Representatives.

The pop star was named Entertainment Weekly’s “entertainers of the year.” She was also set to release her new studio album, Evermore, following the success of her last album, Folklore.
