On Wednesday, former Vice-President Joe Biden, who considers himself a “devout Catholic” failed to even pronounce a book in the bible during his recent Thanksgiving address.

During his speech, Biden attempted to quote a book from the Bible, however, he miserably failed to pronounce it right. Instead of saying Psalm with a silent letter P, the Democrat read it as “Phalms.” Biden said, “the phalmist [said] ‘The Lord is my strength and my shield…’” It appears that the former Vice-president quotes a passage from Psalms 28:7.

Watch:

Biden began his address by citing the first national Thanksgiving Day, celebrated by the then-general George Washington at Gulf Mills. He believed that the battle-weary troops stood as a symbol of how the founding fathers had “forged” America. The former Vice-President then referred to Washington’s experience to the coronavirus pandemic that the country continues to face. Biden also repeated his warnings that a “long” and “dark” winter is waiting ahead.

Biden also encouraged Americans to renew their commitment to fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. He claimed that right now, people should be “at war” with the virus and “not with each other.” He continued by saying that the people had to hear the truth from their President, adding that the American people “owe” it to the health practitioners to slow the spread of the virus.

He continued by offering his condolences to the people who have lost their loved ones as a result of the coronavirus. He also went on to say that it is hard for the people to remain thankful as the country continued to face a health and economic crisis.

Finally, Biden assured the American people that a vaccine is already on the way and that they might be able to make the first round of immunizations by January. However, the Democrat failed to give President Donald Trump credit for the success of operation Warp Speed, which allowed pharmaceutical companies to develop a vaccine within a matter of months.

Unfortunately, while Biden was able to escape the media criticism with his recent blunder, the press was unable to extend kindness to president Donald Trump. Back in 2016, the media heavily criticized Trump after he referred to a bible passage as “Two Corinthians” instead of saying “Second Corinthians.” Media outlets such as the New York Times, Politico, The Atlantic, CNN, NPR, and The Washington Post blasted Trump for failing to pronounce it right.
