Another Democrat governor is enforcing severe restrictions and lockdown. New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lynn Lujan Grisham has just issued a stay-at-home order for the residents of her state. The order also requires all non-essential businesses to close down for a period of 14 days. The lockdown is aimed at stopping the spread of the virus in the state.

“We are in a life-or-death situation, and if we don’t act right now, we cannot preserve the lives, we can’t keep saving lives, and we will absolutely crush our current healthcare system and infrastructure,” the governor said dramatically, as she tried to justify the order which severely limits the freedom of citizens and could cause thousands of business to close up permanently.

Businesses like salons, gyms, spas are all considered to be non-essential and closing shops for a two-week period may be too much for many of those. Restaurants will only be allowed to have pick-up and delivery only. Indoor malls will also be closed down.

Grisham is also limiting religious services. Churches will only be allowed 25% of their capacity, so people will not even be allowed to exercise their religious freedom.

But even after the 14-day period is over, Grisham said that things will not go back to normal. Instead of allowing businesses to operate normally again, they will have a three-tiered system that would be implemented per county to determine which businesses would be allowed to open.

Other places in the country have seen major spikes in coronavirus cases. Democrat officials have insisted that they resort to lockdowns in order to control the spread of the virus. However, the effectiveness of lockdowns has been questioned. It has also been pointed out that enforcing lockdowns is wreaking havoc on the economies.

Thousands of small businesses all over the country have not been able to open back after closing down because of lockdown orders. Many more are just scraping by and additional restrictions can cause them to go bankrupt as well. The Democrats if the economy collapses as long as they consolidate their hold on power.
