Governor Andrew Cuomo’s new book which is all about praising his “leadership” during the coronavirus pandemic, which devastated his state, omits one important detail. It has no mention of the number of nursing home residents who were killed by the virus because of his callous order. His book entitled American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic has generated a great deal of controversy because the pandemic is not over. Yet, he is out praising himself for his so-called leadership. In fact, families of those who were killed in nursing homes because of his order held a mock funeral for Cuomo’s book.

Like other Democrat officials, Cuomo enjoys very positive media coverage, especially since his brother works for CNN. But there is growing outrage over his order back in March, which allowed those who tested positive for the coronavirus to be admitted back into nursing homes. It was as if he was targeting the elderly who were particularly vulnerable to the virus with the order.

“The governor has time, in the middle of a pandemic, to write a book on the COVID-19 crisis, but after months of delay, he has not delivered on his word to provide the legislature with the accurate numbers of nursing home deaths,” said Ron Kim, a state legislator who hails from Queens. “As a result, we are squandering away an opportunity to demonstrate how his government can be there to respond to this crisis.” Cuomo has tried to blame others for the thousands who died in nursing homes. His favorite target, as expected, is president Donald Trump. He also blamed the nursing homes saying that they were greedy and did not want to lose customers even if those had the virus.

The governor is just taking things on a whole new level by daring to write a memoir in the middle of a crisis, which praises how he is handling that said crisis. He is typical of Democrat officials who cannot accept any wrongdoing and blame the federal government.
