Rick Moranis who is best remembered for his role in Honey I Shrunk the Kids, was attacked in the streets of New York City. This is just the latest demonstration of how unsafe the city has become in the middle of the pandemic. There is a video clip of the attack, and it shows a black thug walking up to Moranis from behind and punching him, knocking down the old actor. It seems to be a hate crime and that Moranis was targeted because he is a white person. After knocking down the opponent, the black thug just walked casually away as if nothing had happened.

The attack happened on Thursday, and the actor went to seek medical attention first as he felt pain in the head and other parts of the body before he reported the incident to the police. The attacker is still at large.

The mainstream media has not reported on the race of the attacker. If the situation was reversed and a white person sucker-punched an a black actor, then it would have been reported all over the internet. There would be a massive manhunt now for the perpetrator.

New York City is falling victim to rampant criminality right now. The situation is made worse by the pandemic and the way it is being handled by mayor Bill de Blasio. It is also possible that Moranis’ attacker was playing what’s known as the “knockout” game. The game means assailants would walk up to random people and then just knock them unconscious without warning. It is just the latest stupid craze. There have been several instances of violence caused by the game, and with the policies of the city government, it’s likely that this will not be the past. This one was just reported because Moranis is a famous person.
