On Wednesday, former First Lady Michelle Obama shared that she was “turned-off” by how the Trump-Biden debate turned out.

In a social media post, Obama addressed the disappointing debate to her millions of followers. “I feel you. Believe me, I do.” However, the former First Lady urged that despite the frustrating debate proceedings, they cannot let the President win in the upcoming 2020 general elections, “we can’t let him win by tuning out altogether. That’s what he wants.” She also claimed that Democrats should use their “disgust” to push Trump out of the White House. Finally, Obama concluded that by allowing Biden to win, can Americans restore “stability” in the country.

Obama was not alone in expressing her disdain and frustration by how the debate had turned out. In fact, critics viewed the debate as “undignified.” Even Democrats were dismayed by how Biden descended into new lows, specifically when he told the President to “Shut up, man.” What’s worse is that even the debate moderator, Chris Wallace joined in the sparring sessions. In fact, even Trump remarked that he was not debating Biden, but Wallace, during the first ten minutes of the debate proceeding.

Both the former First Lady and her husband, former President Barack Obama, played an integral role in Biden’s mostly virtual campaign. The Obamas would often boast Biden’s credentials during his eight years as the country’s Vice-President.

The former First Lady was also one of the key speakers during the first night of the DNC convention, where she delivered an emotional speech. In fact, Obama delivered it almost too well that it had overpowered Biden’s lackluster performance.

While Democrats were completely frustrated by Biden’s awful performance, President Donald Trump believed that he was the winner for their first Presidential debate. In a rally in Duluth, Minnesota, Trump declared that his win was not just for his own benefit but also for the American people. He shared that he had really enjoyed the debate and boasted that he had proven himself a better leader than the nominee. Trump said that he had successfully revealed the lies and betrayal that Biden had over his 47-year career as a politician.

Biden bitterly shot back in a social media post, “Donald Trump showed the country last night just how unfit he is to be president.”
