Billy Porter who performed at the DNC said that the country is in a mess right now because of whiteness. He made the bold claim during an interview with Vanity Fair where he was promoting the social justice ideals of Black Lives Matter and the controversial Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other politicians like her.

“The reason why our country is in the mess we’re in is simply because of whiteness. White supremacy. White people choke-holding power and sucking the life out of humanity,” Porter said. He made the statement when he was asked “what is one specific fact, news story, or aspect that you feel has not received enough attention?”

He also attacked President Donald Trump. “Orangina 45, that cancer that is in our White House, has been handed the power, without consequence, to have his hate metastasize all over the people.”

“Why are we not talking about figuring out how to remove this monster from the highest office in the land right now! ‘Cause we might not be alive come November. And this is not hyperbole,” Porter added.

The actor featured prominently in the Democrat National Convention. His performance ended the first night of convention that was otherwise lackluster. But his performance drew attention mainly because of how bizarre it was. He sang Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth.” with a green screen background. The production value of the video was so poor that people made fun of it. There was very little effort in the production that even the mainstream media partners of the Democrats had a hard time trying to make it look good.

Porter’s attitude is typical of many in the far-left, especially those within the Black Lives Matter movement. They believe that white supremacy is the main problem in the country. Porter is blaming whiteness and he is ignoring the fact that the country is majority white and it was white people who have built it and made it what it is today. He’s saying white people are the problem which is highly racist although they refuse to admit that.
