As President Donald Trump announced that he would resume the coronavirus task force briefings, Democrat and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi responded by calling the coronavirus as “Trump virus,” in an effort to pin the outbreak on the administration.

During an interview with CNN, Pelosi criticized the President’s plan to resume the briefings. She went on to claim that Trump had learned from his mistakes, especially with his endorsement to wear facial coverings. “He has recognized the mistakes that he has made by now embracing mask-wearing and the recognition that this is not a hoax,” the House Speaker said. Pelosi continued, “a pandemic that has gotten worse before it gets better because of his inaction and, in fact, clearly, it is the Trump virus.”

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer asked Pelosi what she meant when she said “Trump virus.” Pelosi repeated the phrase as she explained that the outbreak could have been clearly prevented if Trump had encouraged Americans to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines. Pelosi lamented that instead, Trump led a “bad example” by spreading the message that wearing a mask equates to weakness.

Pelosi went on to say that for months, Trump had ignored the facts during his daily task force briefings. She continued that he had also failed to encourage people that it is okay to wear a mask. The House Speaker concluded that “So I think a good deal of what we have suffered is clearly the Trump virus.”

Blitzer went on to ask whether Pelosi thinks Trump is responsible for the coronavirus outbreak to which the House Speaker agreed.

Both the mainstream media and the Democrats have failed to recognize the potential hazards of the ongoing Black Lives Matter movement. With little to no social distancing, large crowds, as well as the lack of facial coverings, left-wing supporters turned a blind eye to the dangers of mass protests and instead chose to support it. In fact, most media outlets claim that there was no connection between the current outbreak and the mass protests.

As the country sees an uptick in coronavirus cases, President Donald Trump announced that he would resume the coronavirus task force briefings, which came to a halt in April. According to Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, the point of the briefing was to provide “assurance” among Americans, especially with the fact that the uptick in cases might be a result of an increase in coronavirus testing.

McEnany claimed that the country is in the right place, as the administration is working hard to provide a coronavirus vaccine and therapeutics.
