Staunch Trump critic, Rep. Maxine Waters, attacked President Donald Trump again, this time by publicly instructing hospitals to disobey the President’s orders by sending him a simple message “go to hell!”

In a social media post, the Democrat responded to the administration’s announcement that hospitals could bypass the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and directly report their data to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The administration claimed that by streamlining the data, they hope to make the coronavirus reports faster and more efficient.

However, the lawmaker was having none of it. Waters wrote, “Hospitals! Trump is now telling you NOT to report #coronavirus data to the CDC. Tell him to GO TO HELL!” She continued, “Doesn’t he understand people are dying?? Report! Report! Report!”

In an announcement, the HHS explained that as of Wednesday, reports on the COVID-19 infections could go to the HHS’s National Healthcare Safety Network site, instead of having to go through CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). The decision was made after reports claimed that the CDC’s coronavirus reporting was ineffective. As the CDC Director, Dr. Robert Redfield, explained that their decision came as “need[s] for flexibility of data gathering, CDC has agreed to remove the National Health Safety Network from the collection process in order to streamline reporting.”

Contrary to the Democrat’s allegations, Redfield clarified that the process would not affect data transparency or the CDC’s access to information. Moreover, HHS spokesman Michael Caputo also pointed out that the CDC’s data-gathering system is “inadequate” to fill the coronavirus’s urgent demands. Caputo also promised that the HHS will remain transparent when it comes to providing information, adding that that the CDC would withdraw its dashboard to the public, and that the HHS will work hard to provide meaningful insight.

This is not the first time that Waters made strong criticisms against the Trump administration, especially after her sister died as a result of a coronavirus infection. The lawmaker admitted that her older sister, Vema Moody, was not tested with coronavirus before she underwent surgery. After a couple of weeks following her operation, Waters claimed that her sister was “gone.”

Back in March, Waters said that the President had completely “ignored’ the early signs of a pandemic. She also went on to say that Trump was able to get away with lying. The lawmaker also warned Trump that all his actions are being carefully “recorded.”

Just last week, Waters also made grievous accusations against GOP supporters. Following the Democratic party’s narrative that all Trump supporters are “white supremacists,” the lawmaker claimed that right-wing supporters do not want black people to rise into positions of power. She claimed, without citing any facts, that white people would do anything to regain “absolute power.”
