Actor Michael Rapaport has been notorious for always attacking President Donald Trump every chance he gets using his Twitter account. But on Monday, tides changed when Rapaport threw tirades and insults not to Trump but to his fellow Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her comments blaming the recent uptick in gun violence in New York on hungry people needing to “shoplift some bread.”

The Atypical actor was seemingly upset upon hearing the news about a one-year-old being shot in Brooklyn, New York, over the weekend. Rapaport used his favorite weapon, Twitter, and called out AOC (D-NY), demanding her to do something about New York’s sudden spike in violent crimes.

Rapaport retweeted an article from NY Post that reported on the killing of the one-year-old in Brooklyn, and added a comment, saying, “AOC talking about people stealing Bread. Do something @AOC stop playing games.”

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez made her comments about the uptick in New York’s crimes during a recent town hall meeting that went viral. “Maybe this has to do with the fact that people aren’t paying their rent & are scared to pay their rent & so they go out & they need to feed their child & they don’t have money so…they feel like they either need to shoplift some bread or go hungry,” she said.

AOC also proceeded to blame the violent crimes in New York to President Trump’s “incompetence” in handling the millions of job losses. She also attempted to set the records straight and explained that the New York City Police Department has not yet been defunded and that the budgetary changes that the City Council had proposed would not really amount to $6 billion in cash.

She further pushed her belief that the recent crime surge across New York was all because of the record-low unemployment rate. AOC added that the government is only putting millions every year to the NYPD, but they still failed to provide the safety and security the city needed.

However, not everyone was impressed by the firebrand lawmaker’s statements this time, as even her fellow Democrats like Rapaport went ahead and called her out.

Social media users replied to AOC’s clip with several videos of the recent crimes in New York, proving that not one of those crimes showed anyone who just wanted to steal some bread.

Rapaport added to his tweet, saying, “ Y’all think she’s perfect? Fuck like able. Fuck charismatic. I want HONEST REALITY. I don’t give a shit about all that cute shit. She knows exactly what the fuck it is and it ain’t about Bread being stolen.”
