Kamala Harris Says Trump is Throwing a Welcome Party for White Supremacists
On Thursday, Sen. Kamala Harris claimed that President Donald Trump is throwing a welcome party for white supremacists by restarting his iconic MAGA rallies in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In a social media post, the U.S. senator wrote: “This isn’t just a wink to white supremacists—he’s throwing them a welcome home party.”

On December 3, 2019, Harris dashed her presidential aspirations as she ended her presidential campaign due to the lack of funding. However, talks have been circulating that presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden might pick her as a running mate.
The president chose to resume his iconic MAGA rallies on June 19, a historic day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. In a social media post, Trump’s campaign manager, Brad Parscale explained that “As the Party of Lincoln, Republicans are proud of what Juneteenth represents and the Emancipation Proclamation.” Parscale added that Trump had a solid record in terms of his success in his programs for members of the Black community. The campaign manager also slapped back, saying that it was Biden who had a “horrible record of racial division and condensation.”

It’s @JoeBiden who has the horrible record of racial division and condescension.
Facts matter.
Moreover, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany also responded to the accusations, saying that the African-American community is dear to Trump’s heart. McEnany claimed that the date is especially meaningful to the President and that he wanted to share the progress that his administration had made.
This marks a huge step in the President’s re-election bid, as he was forced to cancel his rallies due to increasing concerns on the spread of coronavirus. On Wednesday, Trump announced that he would resume his tremendous rallies during a roundtable discussion among black leaders. He also went on to praise how the state had done well in terms of handling the health crisis.
Trump had received several criticisms on his decision to hold a Juneteenth rally. Critics point out that aside from the controversial date, Tulsa had also become the location of the 1921 Race Massacre. Once a thriving business district for African-Americans, tensions rose which led to what was believed as the “single worst incident of racial violence in American history.”
Other left-wing supporters chimed in with Harris. Democrat and political strategist, Atima Omara tweeted about the massacre.
This is not an accident. Trump is holding his first rally of the campaign on Juneteenth (when enslaved blacks were emancipated) in Tulsa almost a 100 years after the massacre of its black citizens. Forget dog whistle, this is an air raid siren https://t.co/fWz2RMU2oh

Rep. Al Green also slammed the GOP’s decision.
A Trump rally with rebel flags (a symbol of slavery and racism) in Tulsa, OK (the place of #TulsaMassacre) on Juneteenth (a day of emancipation recognition) is more than a slap in the face to African Americans; it is overt racism from the highest office in the land. #RejectRacism

Even left-wing media had also joined in.
The rally in Tulsa, a city with a checkered racial history, is scheduled for June 19, or Juneteenth — the day that marks the end of slavery in the US. Hundreds of African Americans were killed during racial unrest in the city in 1921. https://t.co/Rj1DpufgJa
