As the nationwide protests over the death of George Floyd continued to wreak havoc in the country, documentary filmmaker Ami Horowitz created a video that documents the violet riots in Minneapolis.

In a youtube video that was posted on Monday, Horowitz explained that he had gotten into the heart of the violent riots to tell the narrative of those who were demonstrating against Floyd’s death. He claimed that “the vast majority of protesters that I spoke to went out of their way to justify, in a non-socially distanced way, the anarchic orgy of violence.”

The protests erupted as a response after Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, knelt on Floyd’s neck for more than eight minutes, eventually leading to the victim’s death. The excessive use of police force had pushed rioters to go down the streets, burning down police stations, looting stores, and even killing innocent civilians in the process.

Throughout the video, protesters had disturbingly tried to justify their violent actions and went on to slam down their own country. A demonstrator even claimed that if “someone was a thief, it would be America.” Another made an overgeneralizing claimed that all police officers are “b**ches” and that they all deserved to be killed. At a certain point in the video, protesters had even attempted to attack an old man who was only trying to protect his property. Luckily, Horowitz was able to diffuse the situation.

Another protester bashed American corporations. He called out big businesses such as Apple, Target, Walmart, Boost, Bestbuy, Microsoft, Google, and even luxury stores like Gucci, and warned that protesters are coming after them. “ F*** you at, you better lock your doors,” he declared.

The protester even declared that they are taking what’s there’s and that they would burn down corporation “that’s all built up; that’s all slavery money.” Horowitz interjected and went on to question the protesters’ rhetoric on taking claim for what is not theirs. A female protester replied with a resounding yes, adding, “What do you expect them to do?”

However, a black woman in New York slammed the protesters. In a viral video, the woman can be seen standing in front of her store, which had been looted and ransacked. She went on to condemn the violence and questioned the essence of the Black Lives Matter movement. “Do you know the problem that bothers me; you said black lives matter,” the woman said. She then proceeded to show the debris and the aftermath of the riots. “I worked here. Part-time. Plus, I am a part-owner of the store,” evidently furious for the destruction of her own livelihood. She continued to scream and demanded that the protester should see the damage that they have done from the previous night’s riot.

The woman declared that the protesters were lying for using the movement as an excuse to steal and spread violence. “You wanted to loot the store. You needed money,” she said. She then urged looters to find a job and to stop stealing from hard-working Americans. The woman finally concluded that they have tried to build the community, and now, everything was torn down.
