Hollywood A-listers and Biden campaign staffers scramble to support the “Minnesota Freedom Fund,” a group that has been collecting money to pay for bailing out arrested protesters and rioters in Minnesota.

Over a dozen campaign staffers of presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden posted on Twitter last weekend that they made cash donations to the Minnesota Freedom Fund.

The freedom fund had pledged to support paying bail for everyone supporting and protesting the death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man who was killed by a white police officer in Minneapolis. His death sparked rage among the Black community and has led to numerous protests in Minneapolis, which later on spread across the country and has turned into more violent riots and not peaceful protests. They announced on Saturday that they had already received a massive amount of donations totaling over $20 million.

Aside from Sleepy Joe’s staffers, numerous Holywood A-listers also gave their cash donations, including Justin Timberlake, Steve Carell, Emily Ratajkowski, and staunch Democrats Chrissy Teigen and husband, John Legend.

Timberlake wrote on his Twitter, saying, “The freedom fund is combatting the harms of incarceration by paying bail for low income individuals who cannot otherwise afford.”

Ratajowski even threw some shade to people who condemned her for funding rioters, saying, “So excited to see a “large donation” made because you, like so many who are uninterested in fact checking, didn’t take the time to scroll back 3 tweets in my history to see that I had been there all day today (and yes, without security LOL)”

The staunch Trump critic and foulmouthed Chrissy Teigen pledged to donate $100,000 to protesters arrested after President Donald Trump tweeted, “The professionally managed so-called “protesters” at the White House had little to do with the memory of George Floyd. They were just there to cause trouble.”

Teigen tweeted back, saying, “In celebration of whatever the fuck maga night is, I am committed to donating $100,000 to the bail outs of protestors across the country.” Then after someone called the protesters “rioters and criminals,” Teigen doubled her donation to $200,000.

President Trump’s campaign responded, saying that Biden staffers are “condoning and financially supporting” riots and chaos across the country.
