Late-night host Seth Meyer lambasted CNN and other news networks for broadcasting President Donald Trump’s daily White House press briefings.

Following CNN’s Chris Cuomo’s bizarre public meltdown, Meyer expressed his disdain to the Trump administration by hinting that the president’s “propaganda session” does not deserve air-time. “That’s the guy news networks have decided to air unfiltered during a national emergency,” Meyers said. He also added that Trump was incompetent and that he can’t even“read his own script.”

Meyers continued to mock the White House briefings and described it as boring. He even suggested that people should rather tune in to a Livestream video of his grandfather’s eye exam rather than watch the briefings. Moreover, Meyers also ripped off CNN for sensationalizing the news. Referring to a previous news title that read “Angry Trump Turns Briefing into Propaganda Session,” Meyers claimed that media networks were also responsible for spreading the so-called “propaganda.” He also believed that the news network could not sensationalize an incident, and then “criticize” it afterward.

Just this month, the host had also publicly bashed Trump’s coronavirus response during an episode of “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” He lamented that the outbreak was inevitable due to Trump’s negligent response.

He also pointed out that in an email sent by Dr. James Lawler, an infectious disease expert who had worked under the Bush and Obama administrations, Trump had thrown in 15 years of learning, and was simply basing his decisions on “intuition.” Meyers echoed the same sentiment and even highlighted the president’s privileged background, “That’s probably what his high school tutor said when he helped him study for the SATs,” Meyers said.

He also likened Trump to a “chocolate Easter bunny” because he was so “shallow.” He added, “There is no deep within him.”

However, billionaire entrepreneur and vocal Trump critic Mark Cuban refuses to be brainwashed by biased media. In a recent Twitter post, the billionaire called out media networks, Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN for cutting off Trump’s coronavirus briefings. Cuban said that just as Trump was able to present concrete data on the distribution of personal protective equipment, the broadcast ended. He believed that by cutting off Trump’s White House statements, news networks are denying people of crucial information.

On Tuesday, Cuban reiterated his previous comments to Breitbart News Daily. He began by reminding media networks that Trump truly cared for the American people. He also lashed out against media networks for cutting off Trump’s response, such as the distribution of PPE’s, masks and ventilators. “To me, that was critical information,” Cuban said.
