After recovering from a COVID-19 infection, CNN News anchor Chris Cuomo went on a public meltdown and lashed out, not only against President Donald Trump but as well as with his own TV network.

On Monday, the news anchor went on a massive meltdown during his SiriusXM radio program. Cumo attacked the president by saying that he was “full of sh*t,” referring to the president’s coronavirus response.

However, most surprisingly, the famed news anchor ripped his own television network, CNN. During the show, Cuomo revealed that he was unhappy with his work, specifically with the growing bias and bi-partisanship in the US media. In his statement, Cuomo claimed that he was not able to do his job “professionally” and instead “trafficking in things that I think are ridiculous.”

Cuomo ranted, saying, “I don’t want to spend my time doing things that I don’t think are valuable enough to me personally,” he added that “I don’t value indulging irrationality, hyper-partisanship.” What’s more interesting is that the anchor dismissed CNN altogether, claiming that it was not “worth his time.”

The CNN anchor went on with his harsh attacks. Suffering from an obvious existential crisis, Cuomo moaned that he was “talking” to members of the Democratic party, over things that he does not believe.
While some might think that Cuomo’s profound disdain over CNN should be a red flag for him to leave the network, the news anchor backtracked his statements. Apparently, a day after his bizarre meltdown, Cuomo had a change of heart. In his statements, the news anchor said that he loved his job and that he does not have any plans to quit CNN. Cuomo simply explained that he did not mean what he said.

Moreover, Cuomo tried to mitigate the damage by saying that he was not personally referring to CNN, but rather, it was about him quitting his job as a news anchor. He explained that his statements were about his frustrations on journalism and that he felt that he was not enough to be considered as a journalist.

In fact, Cuomo claimed that he was proud of his colleagues at work and that he was happy to be a part of the CNN team, and to be considered as their “teammates.” In less than 48 hours, Cuomo concluded that “I can’t believe how lucky I am to be working with people like this.”

Chris’s brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, also made harsh criticisms against the administration. During an interview for CNN’s “New Day,” the governor described the president’s coronavirus response, “It makes no sense, it’s schizophrenic.”

In another interview for left-wing media MSNBC, the governor also jabbed at the president, over talks of possibly re-opening the US economy. Cuomo said that Trump was simply “breaking” the country’s constitution and that it was truly “frightening.” He added that “This is the last place we should be, this crazy politics.”

As the country continues to grapple with the massive health and economic effects of the coronavirus, the president also had his own battle with the press. In a Twitter post, Trump addressed the growing bi-partisanship and bias in the media.

Trump wrote that the media had sown more conflict and confusion by spreading false information that it is up to the state’s governors on whether they will re-open or not. The president reminded them that he has “absolute” power to decide when the country can re-open.
